I am working on building sites as an apprentice carpenter and have to wear
safety work glasses much of the time.
This compromises my eyesight though, as I have to take off my spectacles to put the work-issue eyewear on. So really, I could do with getting a pair of prescription safety glasses to wear constantly whilst at work.
I have found some that seemed suitable but either they were too expensive or they were only available to people whose employers signed up for a particular corporate eyecare scheme. As I'm registered self-employed I don't qualify for this scheme and many of the glasses that I found in Specsavers and Boots opticians, therefore, aren't available to me.
I'm looking to spend £40 but could go up to £60 if I know They will last and provide the protection I need.
I'm looking for something that has good coverage around the sides and underneath the lenses but doesn't hinder my peripheral vision too much.
As I use power tools the specs need to be impact rated.
I have spent hours looking online and on the high street but nowhere seems to offer this service within this price range. Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks
